When was 'Elevator' made?

Okay, the rhyming on this song is way too bad to be written at a similar time to his Relapse work, but it's slightly better than his work during his drug phase.

I guess it was one of the songs he made before he got sober that he was proud of (like Beautiful - doh!) and would have been the only song from that time on Relapse 2. Although I could be wrong.

Anyone?

Relapse.
The rhyming isn't THAT good,especially in the 1st verse (it gets better in the 2nd and 3rd tho),but it's still way better than the rhyming in his drug phase.
Also,the voice is way different than in Beautiful,CWYWF and those Re-Up songs.

Well, yeah I wouldnt say it was 2007 era which was like his worst.

But I'm thinking maybe early 2008 before he got properly sober. His voice is still different to his Relapse stuff and the rhyming is pretty bad in all verses, although 3rd verse does pick up slightly towards the end despite a terrible opening few lines.

The 05-07 Eminem couldn't have made Elevator IMO.
If he tried to raise the pitch of his voice, it would've sounded HORRIBLE.

Had to have been early 2008 in the "Careful What You Wish For" era. One of the clues is that he produced it...he wasn't producing anything during the Relapse or Recovery eras.

I think he punched in the stuff about Adam Lambert later on.

In late 08 his rhyming was top notch (I'm Having A Relapse),so if you take that song for comparison,Elevator would perhaps be correspondent to early 08.
But it's surprising he would start making album material so early.

It's from the Relapse sessions in 08 with Dre.

Relapse / Relapse 2 was all one thing. They did like 100 tracks.

I'm 99% sure this was one of them.

The rhyming/voice isn't the same as the rest of the Relapse tracks, except Careful What You Wish For and Beautiful.

It was made earlier. I guess it was post-Rehab.

That Proof asked him what if he went Platinum & Em would just laugh @ Proof because thought it was ridiculous or something. I heard the interview too long ago to exactly remember it, now. I hope this helps. Also, the video was uploaded in October '08.
