I wrote this back when all we knew was the Recovery title and Not Afraid had just come out as a single. I would pay out the ass if this album was released.

Bonus Tracks
19- Still Shady
20- Insult to Injury
21- Keys to the City (feat. 50 Cent)
22- Hear Them Calling (feat. Kid Cudi)
1-Intro/Only Minutes Left (feat. Proof)
Proof Hook (sampled from Good Die Young)
“It ain't never late in the game, this hating remains
With a grudge to see slugs straight through my frame
My heart aches with the pain, the life in his breath
We gotta have fun now, there’s only minutes left”
Serious song with a somber piano beat with Em rapping at a medium pace. Apologizes to Proof for not being there for him, lets him know that he’s living every day for him. Ends with a spoken part, possibly a sample from Em’s speech at Proof’s funeral
2-With God as My Witness
Em swears revenge on those who have insulted him, his family, and Proof. Viciously murders Canibitch, Haystack. Nick Cannon and anyone who has insulted him. Reminds everyone that he’s not out to start beefs, but he will always retaliate.
3- Not Afraid
Already released
4- Caught in the Act (feat. Nate Dogg)
Straight up rap song featuring Nate Dogg on the hook, similar in style to Till I Collapse and Never Enough. Em shows off and show’s he’s a too tough to mess with. Openly discusses the King Mathers LP.
5- If I Don’t Come Home
Song directed to Hailie and Alaina, very similar to When I’m Gone, basically talking about how he’s not afraid of death and that he’ll go down as a hero no matter what.
6- Run and Hide
“Real” Marshall vs “Serial Killer” Slim Shady (aka The Accent). Marshall, fresh out of rehab, hunts down the serial killing accent Slim Shady who controlled Relapse. Basically a battle rap with both participants being Eminem (similar to My Darling but not exactly, more so attacking himself than any sort of persona).
7- Stealing the Spotlight (feat. Dr. Dre and 50 Cent)
The Platinum Trio rap back and forth about how they’re the best in the game and how they’re never going anywhere. Em raps about critics saying he’s gone soft, Dre raps about Detox and 50 raps about being an entrepreneur and his acting career.
8- Where Are They Now?
Eminem looks back at his friends throughout his career (Outsidaz, The Bass Brothers, etc.) and discusses what happened, why they fell out, etc. Partial apology and partial attack.
9- Don’t Turn Your Back
Similar to Where Are They Now?, but Eminem addresses fans who think he fell off, fans who preferred him on drugs and fans who criticize every move he makes
10- Nothing but Nightmares (feat. Elton John)
Elton John does a hook (not a sample) in a serious song where Marshall talks about how he is haunted by the idea of his drug addiction, discusses why he’s not bleaching his hair blonde again, basically addresses his inner demons and explains that every day is a struggle
11- A Letter to Marshall
Opens with ‘Dear Marshall, I’m sorry…’ and is almost like a mix between If I Had, Airplanes Pt 2 and Stan. Eminem is writing a letter to his younger self, warning him about the mistakes he will make. Verses discuss Ronnie’s suicide, Em’s suicide attempts, drug addiction, overdoses, losing Proof, arrests etc. Ends with a hopeful line ‘But hold you’re head up high, kid. You’ll recover’.
12- Tomorrow
Storytelling song where Eminem describes multiple suicide attempts and how each time he is saved by hope for the future. Apologizes to hailie, proof and even kim for his suicide attempts
13- Hell on Earth (feat. Royce Da 5’9”)
Sequel to Bad Meets Evil. Royce and Em swap verses going hardcore, discussing now that Slaughterhouse is signed to Shady they’re reunited and ready to rain down on rap as if it’s Hell on Earth. Non “serious” track, very lyrical with lots of multis.
14- No Regrets
Em offers advice to his audience, to live with no regrets. Second single, similar to Not Afraid. Beat is rock and roll with perhaps a classic rock hook.
15- Checkmate
Em talks about how he’s king of the game and has his enemies backed into the corner. Subliminal disses to T.I., Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Young Buck, etc. any rapper who is trying to claim the title of “the best in the game”.
16- Ghosts
Third single, Eminem raps about a number of topics, the most important one being the artists who sign to Shady Records and get dropped without releasing an album and other “controversies” he’s ignored
17- Halfway Home (feat. Jay-Z)
Em and Jay trade verses Renegade style on this song which focuses on their childhoods, and how they want to provide a better life for their family and that as successful as they are they’ll always feel “just halfway home”
18- I’ll Never Give a Fuck/Outro
Sequel to Just Don’t Give a Fuck, Still Don’t Give a Fuck, Criminal and Underground. “A lot of people ask me, what the fuck I’m doing with my life. To be honest, I don’t really know, but I do know one thing. At the end of the day, I know things will be okay. Why? Cause I’ll NEVER GIVE A FUCK”.
BONUS TRACKS
Bonus Tracks
19- Still Shady
King Mathers track. Em says that he’s never going to leave the game and raps angrily and alludes to his remarrying/redivorcing/remarrying/redivorcing etc. with Kim and how he’s not going to let that shit fuck with his life
20- Insult to Injury
Direct sequel to Underground. Em shows off how great he can spit. Full of multis with an awesome singing chorus.
21- Keys to the City
In this storytelling track Em saves Detroit and is recognized as a hero, only for the glory to go to his head and he ends up destroying Detroit. Ends with a pitiful Marshall saying he didn’t mean to.
22- Hear Them Calling (feat. Kid Cudi)
Creepy/Sad song, Eminem hears demons/ghosts after him. He intimately describes his recovery process
I do stand up.
