This. And maybe he wouldn't have gone through his little do-rag/jordan sweatsuit phase. I like 50, but it's not like he changed Em as an artist.

A better question would be "What if Em never met Dre" or "What if Em didn't get addicted to pills"

Well 50 is an asshole and I think his music has gone to trash so I wish he had signed somebody else instead like maybe Royce, Reggie, LL if Def Jam released him early or somebody dope, not just dope for a min, then sucks.

Em got GRODT out of him, that's a classic.
Royce: I like him for his lyrics, but his voice/style can't make hit albums like Em or 50 can.
Redman: Dope, but he's a has been. It'd be cool, but he's not gonna be making any hits like 50 can/did.
LL: :shakehead: Maybe if Em had come out 15 years earlier...

Royce already produced a classic. Way better than GRODT. "Death Is Certain", one of the best Hip-Hop albums period.

redman a has been back in 03? nah hes still dope, check out blackout 2

on subject tho it wouldve changed a shit load because him signing 50 started beef with ja rule which led to good music and a couple of sick colabs that em and 50 have done... plus didnt signing 50 cause or at least add to the em/royce beef?
be the best you can be, and if thats not good enough for people... than fuck em

To be honest, I would say that it would have been better for em as a solo artist, and he woulda devoted more time to his next album and less on making 50 big. But grodt was a dope fuckin album and a classic imo. The whole gangsta thing em went through probably wouldn't have happened either, tho he was doing the du-rag thing before that, just look at the fight music music video.

But that's what I would say, what I really believe is that he would have been either looking for another artist to sign (unless 50 really was just gone after by em as a result of opportunity) or worked more with Obie and Cheers and gotten that album released sooner than it was.

I think his last album was incredible. I'll have to bump Death Is Certain again because I have it too, I just never really listened to it I guess, but I really liked his last album the best out of what I heard from him. Being in SH totally makes him EVEN more lyrical, and better then before. Not that he sucked, just sayin. It made him even more of a monster. Same with Joell, Joey and Crooked as well.

No, the Massacre was fucking terrible, I hope you're not saying that album was great or anything close to being great, just terrible. Curtis was ok, BISD was ok, the first G-Unit album and GRODT were excellent albums, and the Get Rich soundtrack I thought was good, but otherwise, 50 sucks. People ride his dick like he's that street. The dude went from Nigga I got shot, to, shorty it's ya birthday, and he's done pop, bullshit, whack club hits ever since.
