Alex Da Kid is a dope producer. I'm not saying he is the best but I think his beats are good. I think he is much, much better than Boi1da. Castle Walls is probably my favourite beat by him. Yes, some of them do sound similar but I mean if you take most producers you could say the same thing. For example DJ Khalil is my favourite producer right now but I can almost always instantly tell when a beat is his because he uses the same/similar sound effects. I think many producers go through phases musically and for one period will use a certain type of sound a lot, then gradually move on and evolve. Kinda like artists in a way.

But yea, I think we should appreciate Alex Da Kid, I mean it was because of his beat that Eminem had probably the biggest hit of the year and rose back to the top again in terms of mainstream popularity. Just imagine if Recovery didnt have Love The Way You Lie on it - I don't think Em would have had anywhere near the massive year that he has had. I really do think LTWYL will go down as one of Eminem's most important tracks ever. Also dont forget INAD, a song that most of us Em fans loved. Maybe you don't like Alex Da Kid's style which is fair enough, but at the end of the day he does produce hits that appeal to a lot of people.

His beats are simple but effective, I wouldnt say he sucks, its like saying a rapper sucks because he doesnt have complex metaphors or Intricate rhyme patterns, alot of great MC's use a simplified flow but make really good records, A cat like Scarface for example, aint gonna blow your ming with his wordplay but he uses what he has and made a 25 year career with it, still goin today......

Alex Da Kids beats kinda remind me of Em's own beats in a way, there solid but dont steal the show, and allow the lyrics and the hook to be the star...............The hook being the key word, you can tell he makes all these beats with that skyler gray chick writing choruses to them as he does it, every song he makes has a chorus built into it (Airplanes, Castle Walls, Love The Way You Lie)

I wouldnt wanna see him do a whole album with Em or nuthin like that but the kid is perfect at making crossover singles, he only did one on Recovery, I wouldnt be pissed if Em did another with him

Him, bo1da & khalil have beats that are different from what he usually does, its good sometimes and bad other times. He should use beats produced by himself, Dre, Bass Bros & all these new producers so he switches it up on the next album and every song has a different feel.
