Was Not Afraid written before R2 was Recovery?

Postby garycal5326 » Jan 8th, '11, 04:41

Hey guys.

Some of the lyrics make me think that this was for Relapse 2 before he changed it to Recovery.

"From Infinite down to the last Relapse album he's still shittin"

Last Relapse album? sounds like he means this is a sequel.

"Let's be honest, that last Relapse CD was "ehhhh""

Last again, I don't know just a thought.

Doesn't really matter either way though.

I think you're just looking into it too much. "Last Relapse CD" just means his last album, Relapse.

If it was from Relapse 2, the chances are he would have still used the "accent" so I don't think he'd talk about running them into the ground and about him not going back to using them.

Nah, I really think it's one of the last songs he did for Recovery. Seeing as how his next song, Where I'm At, has a similar flow and rhyme structure

Cocaine, I think, was made before R2 was Recovery. When R2 was changing directions. If you notice at the end of his second verse, he says "Oh well, fuck it then" in the accent, so I'm assuming that Cocaine was made before he decided to dismiss Relapse as trash (which it's NOT, but Recovery >)

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

You know that R1 And R2 was recorded together?
So i he aotumaticly thought that his CD was shit when he was recording it?

I think i'm gonna add a /thread
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
