My unyielding hate for LTWYL

Postby FreeSpeech » Jan 23rd, '11, 00:46

I know this topic has been discussed a ton, but I just listened to this song again and I hate it even more. Out of all of his studio album songs, this is genuinely the last one I would ever choose to listen to. FACK/Crack A Bottle/Big Weenie>LTWYL. This is the only Eminem album song I hate, or even dislike.

-It is mixed terribly. Eminem is yelling (not a bad thing) yet Rihanna comes across as louder. Em's voice isn't integrated in with the beat well.
-Em's rhymes are forgettable, unclever, and fairly simple.
-"Window Pain"
-Rihanna is great. Eminem is great. Rihanna + Eminem goes like OJ and toothpaste.
-It manages to be both too slow and too fast for the song
-My roommate uses it to flirt with his ugly girl, posting it for her on Facebook and everything
-I hear it everytime I turn on the radio.
-Eminem comes across as trying to sound angry, but he doesn't seem like he actually is
-The track before it on Recovery is Almost Famous, one of my favorites from the album. To follow it with LTWYL is the equivalent of following Lose Yourself with Crank Dat Soulja Boy.
-It is the farthest thing from an Eminem beat, it sounds like it was written solely for Rihanna.
-The video sucks donkey balls

None of those points are valid whatsoever

Despite what you think, LTWYL is an incredibly, beautifully written song.

Explain how they aren't valid then, and justify why your opinion automatically invalidates mine instead of just posting an emoticon.

It is mixed perfectly. I have no idea what your ears are hearing. Buy yourself better headphones or speakers.

FreeSpeech wrote:Em's rhymes are forgettable, unclever, and fairly simple.

Wrong. I can prove you wrong so badly on this one. I'll post the 1st verse and point out the stupendous rhymes in this song when I have the time to do so.

FreeSpeech wrote:"Window Pain"

I do not understand the hate for this line but I'll give it to you, even though I disagree.

FreeSpeech wrote:Rihanna is great. Eminem is great. Rihanna + Eminem goes like OJ and toothpaste.

Invalid point.

FreeSpeech wrote:It manages to be both too slow and too fast for the song.

What? The beat? Eminem's rapping? If so....no.

FreeSpeech wrote:My roommate uses it to flirt with his ugly girl, posting it for her on Facebook and everything

Invalid retarded point.

FreeSpeech wrote:I hear it everytime I turn on the radio.

Lose Yourself sucks too.

FreeSpeech wrote:Eminem comes across as trying to sound angry, but he doesn't seem like he actually is

Elaborate. I don't see it. I suppose he should've used his arabian accent to emphasize on the troubled, psychotic, abusive, vicious cycle of a relationship betweem two people?

FreeSpeech wrote:The track before it on Recovery is Almost Famous, one of my favorites from the album. To follow it with LTWYL is the equivalent of following Lose Yourself with Crank Dat Soulja Boy.

What'dya know...another invalid point.

FreeSpeech wrote:It is the farthest thing from an Eminem beat, it sounds like it was written solely for Rihanna.

To me, the beat is powerful and emotional. Whatever, I'll give you that.

lol i like it, it was over played, and the music video wasnt that good (decent), but overall its a good song, and i love how popular it became, and how much it sold, puts eminem 'back on the map' to all the young people and mainstream listeners that forgot about eminem. The beat was alrite as well, and i like eminems voice on this, i do agree that rihanna sounds louder than eminem, that annoys me sometimes.

Buy YOURSELF better headphones, the mixing is NOT good.

There aren't stupendous rhymes, I can hear it for myself. His multis are not impressive or hard to put together.
FreeSpeech wrote:"Window Pain"

My opinion that they don't compliment each other isn't invalid. They don't go together.
FreeSpeech wrote:It manages to be both too slow and too fast for the song.

What? The beat? Eminem's rapping? If so....no.
The chorus drags, Em flows fairly quickly, it's out of sync.
FreeSpeech wrote:My roommate uses it to flirt with his ugly girl, posting it for her on Facebook and everything

We're on a forum, I'm not writing a thesis dipshit. That wasn't a serious critique.
FreeSpeech wrote:I hear it everytime I turn on the radio.

Lose Yourself sucks too.
No, it doesn’t. Again, not a serious critique, I’m just showing how the song personally annoys me.

No he shouldn’t have. He just didn’t seem that angry, it seemed forced.
FreeSpeech wrote:The track before it on Recovery is Almost Famous, one of my favorites from the album. To follow it with LTWYL is the equivalent of following Lose Yourself with Crank Dat Soulja Boy.

What’dya know, you being a dipshit again and thinking I’m reviewing this like I’m writing for Rolling Stone.
FreeSpeech wrote:It is the farthest thing from an Eminem beat, it sounds like it was written solely for Rihanna.

FreeSpeech wrote:The video sucks donkey balls

The video was stupid, not invalid. It had zero entertainment value.
Are you happy now? :coffee:
