From how I look at it, It's basically a notable album from it's time era that will come up in conversation for generations to come.
For example, Beastie Boys aren't exactly crazy rhymers, but their first couple albums are 'classic'.
From how EVERYONE ELSE on this site seems to look at it, it's when you like an album a lot.

Objectively:those factors apply in time.Only after few years u can actually tell if the album was a classic or not.
