I Need A Doctor not on detox?

I heard a rumor that it was just an intro song to get people excited, but I don't know. If it is on the album, it has to be track 1, it would be out of place anywhere else.

Kush got leaked, so he released it pretty much immediately, just to get the money for the sales. It will fit somewhere on Detox, but isn't likely to be a standout track.

INAD on the otherhand was leaked, and not released for over 2 months. Dre now decides to release it as a promo song for Detox which will probably out some time near 4/20. At that point they will likely release another single, probably one of Detox best tracks (All tracks will be great, I'm expecting about 5-8 Big singles.)

Any opinions on this situation?

I hope it's not on INAD. After waiting 12 years, people don't want crap beats like that on Detox. While Kush has 0 redeeming content, it bangs. Perfect car track. It's produced by Khalil, but it sounds 100% Dre, and Dre put in some quality mastering.

I've never understood the hate for "new school" beats like in INAD (Probably idiots that think different = bad) but I still think they shouldn't be in a Dre. album.

It's not that it's new school or different. I love Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B (lol just kidding) and almost all of the new school-alternative artists (no I don't). Hell, I even like Alex Da Kid's other work. Airplanes was a great beat. But I Need a Doctor just sounded...bad. The quality sucked, the beat was weak and generic. The instrumentation and melody sounded so artificial. Dre sounds stupid on this beat. It sounded like he was focusing on a beat that fits Skylar Grey rather than one for Detox.

Dre shouldn't even be on other producer's beats. It's bad enough someone else writes his shit, but he's not even going to bother producing the entirety of his final album? The one that's been anticipated for this many years?

The song did prove it's point though. Dre does need to wake the fuck up.

i thought kush was a dre beat... sounds like it is one. but... it aint? that shit is wack... you know... everyone out here talkin about how dre barely rapped on 01... but, he produced the shit. he was showing his skills behind the boards and had tracks he wasnt even in because of this... but... i really dont get why em is on 2 verses, and dre is on one, and its produced by that alex da kid dude. dre shouldnt of tried to go the route eminem went with recovery... that was exciting for me, to hear em on other bad ass production... but, not dre. i wanna hear some new dre beats... because damn near all his lyrics are ghost written.
