Does Eminem think Encore is better than Relapse?

but on Careful What You Wish For, before he had this revelation that the Relapse material was so bad, he stated that in a few years Encore would be Illmatic, so clearly he wasn't dissing Encore there.

I honestly think that dissing Relapse was part of pertaining the "I just recovered" image to the fans who were disappointed. There's no way he can really think it's trash, I mean come on. He made it only a year before and other rappers applaud it. Your mind just doesn't change in an instant like that.

He's stated many times he approves of his albums before their released or he wouldn't release them. So yes Em believes all his albums are good. And there's nothing wrong with someone saying Encore's better then Relapse. They both have their good and bad.

He said on not afraid and in interviews already why he didn't like the album.

Eminem knows what is good and what is bad lyricism. He doesn't think it's better, he just thinks it's more him than Relapse is.

He concluded that Relapse songs weren't making him feel anything the way his old albums did, and went on to list songs from Encore as examples of that.

Funny cos Relapse felt more like eminem than Recovery did.

I'm guessing he does not like encore very much because listening to it puts him in a dark place.

I enjoyed listening to encore a lot more than relapse but i think that relapse was more creative and better written. I can't get past the accents
