Yeah. It sounded like Em was trying to get back in touch with his earlier days. He still fuckin killed Royce throughout the whole album. I personally think Em's actual flow and delivery is better than ever, but his lyrics haven't been as good for a while.
And I think Eminem's shit on "I'm On Everything" was unbelievable. There was one part he did, were he and Royce were exchanging back and forth in a verse, and he did at least six lines without a breath. Credit where credit it due, man.
On how Eminem's inverse rhymes are coincidence
It's not that it's technically an accident. More like a coincidence. Eminem has that kind of talent where he always throws in rhyme schemes in different parts of his lines (not just at the end). And he also almost always writes multi-syllabic rhymes. I think he perceives what he did there that technically. If someone were to point that out to him, he'd probably be like, Oh wow. Cool.
Also, it's important to note that Eminem probably doesn't write his rhymes like this:
(meta)morphosis-happen?
Standin-on-corners
Porches-just-rappin
Havin'-a-fortune
More-kissin-ass (but then)
Because, rhythmically speaking, the lines are longer than that. The person who posted that picked up mid-line. He probably wrote it like this:
Now how the fuck did this metamorphosis happen?
Standin on corners and porches just rappin
Having a fortune, no more kissin ass
If you actually see the whole thing, he didn't invert anything. He inserted multiple rhymes in each line, which is not unusual for him. That poster just picked up mid-line, so it looked inverted.
