Current flow > SSLP's flow , do you agree with this guy

Postby RKOunion » Aug 28th, '11, 11:23

He's working with the rhythm on Recovery a lot more. I honestly think he's diversified his flow a lot since Slim Shady LP.

He thinks Eminem's flow is at it's best right now, I'm not kidding.

WTP has a great flow according to him.

I'm listening to Recovery, and I was just thinking about what you were saying about his flow on his new shit. Listen to the verses on WTP (ignore the chorus), and if you don't think his flow is fucking tight on that song, then holy shit.

Pointless topic, I know.

Yes, he told me himself about how Eminem works with the rhythm much better and his flow is more varied on Recovery to now.

Thinks I'm on Everything has a fantastic flow.

Yeah. It sounded like Em was trying to get back in touch with his earlier days. He still fuckin killed Royce throughout the whole album. I personally think Em's actual flow and delivery is better than ever, but his lyrics haven't been as good for a while.

And I think Eminem's shit on "I'm On Everything" was unbelievable. There was one part he did, were he and Royce were exchanging back and forth in a verse, and he did at least six lines without a breath. Credit where credit it due, man.

On how Eminem's inverse rhymes are coincidence

It's not that it's technically an accident. More like a coincidence. Eminem has that kind of talent where he always throws in rhyme schemes in different parts of his lines (not just at the end). And he also almost always writes multi-syllabic rhymes. I think he perceives what he did there that technically. If someone were to point that out to him, he'd probably be like, Oh wow. Cool.

Also, it's important to note that Eminem probably doesn't write his rhymes like this:

(meta)morphosis-happen?
Standin-on-corners
Porches-just-rappin
Havin'-a-fortune
More-kissin-ass (but then)

Because, rhythmically speaking, the lines are longer than that. The person who posted that picked up mid-line. He probably wrote it like this:

Now how the fuck did this metamorphosis happen?
Standin on corners and porches just rappin
Having a fortune, no more kissin ass

If you actually see the whole thing, he didn't invert anything. He inserted multiple rhymes in each line, which is not unusual for him. That poster just picked up mid-line, so it looked inverted.

There is no way Recovery flow is better than the SSLP flow.

It's just not possible.

Now, Eminem on the other hand, does seem to hate the flow he had on SSLP due to how he thought he sounded like he was 'trying to catch up with the beat' or somethin

He has more flows now, but that doesn't by any stretch of the imagination mean they are of a higher quality than his few flows back then.

1999 Em= maybe the greatest rapper of all time.
2011 Em= Top 40 greatest rapper of all time.

And don't get me wrong, I still love current Em and his music.

I actually his current flow is repetitive as fuck. I honestly can't tell the difference between his verses during his post-Recovery collabs.

Him going six lines without taking a breath on "I'm on Everything" doesn't change the fact that it sounds like shit and you can barely hear what's he's saying.

Does he not realize how fucked up the structure of his bars are? He honestly thinks that fast flow = good no matter how you structure your bars?

What caused this sudden change in the writing style?

Listen to the flow on this trash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWo4fjhO04w&t=1m18s

Then listen to his flow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqhWg2RCDHg&t=1m43s

Both are fast flow, but notice how it sounds much smoother on Physco?

Couldn't you of just compared Physco with his flow on Reunion a recent one that isn't trash?
