10 years ago I was 11 and my brain wasn't fully developed. Still isn't. There's a lot I didn't know back then.

But SSLP/MMLP/TES weren't written on weed or shrooms, except maybe 1 or 2 songs on MMLP.

This was more referring to weed, and I think, honestly...I'm pretty sure he smoked whenever he was up in the studio with Dre, etc. It's not like he's going to let us know every time he blazed.

That weed "enhances" a rappers ability to write. In all honesty, it doesn't. I've been high before with a pen and pad, I wrote one of my rhymes and posted them on this site, it was one about depression or some shit. It's just averagely-written.

Eminem had practiced his ability to write so lyrically, it ain't even funny. You know why his rhymes aren't so great anymore? He took 4 years off of doing what he loved so much: rap.

Just give the man some time, he'll eventually get back to it.

Because he's older, more mature, has had a near-death experience, lost his best friend, is not leading the same lifestyle as before, has teenage-daughters & thus is more responsible, lost his best friend, surrounded by different people, has ousted most of the things he could shine at in terms of songwriting, believes in karma more now, his voice has changed..his voice has changed... & thinks Lil Gayne is un-wack & has taken a leaf out of his work - the excessive & wack punchlines...which I can't stand.

But his legacy from his first three albums makes him the fucking illest in this music there is, there was or there ever will be..period.. & also he is ahead of most others in the game right now..

and no he said he only wrote two songs while doing X which is nothing like weed. If he did 2 songs on Ectasy, I definitely wouldn't be surprised if he was high on every song on that album.

He started over from scratch, he'll never have his old style again. (That doesn't mean he wont show signs of it, or even master it again. But it won't be the same)
