It's not a no brainer, and actually, no one will ever really know unless Eminem himself talks about it

Look, even if he didn't have actual "vocal lessons" he had some kind of help. All the technology can alter his voice so he doesn't sound like shit on a track. I'm not saying he has a bad singing voice, but I'll bet they didn't just go with his natural voice. I bet Dre tweaked his voice a little.

Em also does that layering shit that makes it sound (as said by Cashis I think back in like '07) "appealing to the ear". I've always liked that layering he did when he sang in a high pitched voice and low pitched voice, I think he did that on Bully the first verse and also a lot in Encore (Puke, Mockingbird), also on Beautiful and now SpaceBound and Not Afraid, among others in the album.
