Think about it. Artists put out mixtapes all the time and still manage to get a buzz.

Em puts out nothing and gets one of the biggest-selling albums of the year.

I think that's the point...make the fans keep wanting more instead of over saturating like every other artist does. Em could announce a new album tomorrow and it could come out a month from now and it would sell like crazy because it's Eminem and people are always excited for new Em material. Good or bad. I'm just really hoping that the lack of material is made up for with good songs and verses...I don't want a bunch of Throw It Ups (it's not that bad, I just don't want too many like that). Hopefully this Richard song delivers a good verse.

It's a genius plan if done moderately. It's shit now that he's not releasing anything. No one is asking for him to "put stuff out all the time".

If Eminem dropped, for example, THREE whole tracks today (3 verses+ hook each), and he released an album at the end of the year, the three tracks would make NO difference to his sales. It is not over saturating if he puts out something every now and then, but even if he did some sort of saturation to the music industry he's going to sell just as good. If he did one verse every other month, it would not be over saturation and it would not hurt his marketing, and it would only please the fans.

But that's just how Eminem is, and I'm sure it's not because he's busy. I'm sure he records on a regular basis, but just chooses not to put out music. And it's his decision, and he's totally entitled to making that choice. I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt if he dropped more often. What he's doing right now is like he's dead.

I think it's brilliant that he's releasing every few years a new album and not releasing every year like most artists this days.it brings more interest. and he always sells crazy because well he is Eminem after all . . he's doing it like madonna for example.of course I'm also sometimes tired of waiting too but there are many other artists to listen so it kills the wait .

He won't go touring until he's really, really secure in his sobriety. He's said that touring is a trigger for his addiction. Hell, in late 2010, after he had already been sober nearly two years, he was still seeing a rehab counselor once a week. He's being very careful. And he has no reason whatsoever to tour, he makes shitloads of money without even lifting a finger. The only reason he would go on tour is to make the fans happy and reward them. He does all the performing he wants to with the summer festivals.
