Yeah, but in Kim the screaming is natural and fits the track

The screaming fits other tracks too. I can't imagine "Won't Back Down" with just a normal voice, the screaming intensifies things and makes me wanna break shit.

But on topic: This song alone just stands out in his discography, "Kim" is really a genius' creation. And I love it.

Oh here we go...

On this song he ACTUALLY screams. On his other songs he hasn't, that's not called screaming. Screaming is prominent in rock/metal music. :zipped:

Screaming on a song depicting the murder of your wife vs. screaming on a song with punchlines.
Canning: What will it say on your tombstone?
Charlie Sheen: Something dot com.

Lol yeah, let's compare a song's concept to what a song contains :y:

So what's WBD's concept then?

It doesn't have one. It's Eminem rhyming punchlines.

There's no concept in "Won't Back Down." Having a confrontational title doesn't make that a "concept."

It's a punchline track, period, the end. There's no point in shouting. Plus, his shouting sounds forced on that. His shouting on "Kim" is organic.

I think the shouting in "Won't Back Down" fits with the beat and everything. I like the song.

Every song has a concept, it doesn't always have to be something so creative or innovative.

And not to mention I never suggested it had a concept until Mike asked me. There's no point in shouting? Of course there was a point in shouting, would you prefer Em being more casual on a beat like that?

You make such a big deal about his yelling now, what about on a track like Trouble Soon ?

How does 'every song' have a concept? A barrage of random punchlines is not a concept. Your link to the title was vague. There was no point to the shouting, especially when his voice sounds like that.

Not a HUGE fan of his Trouble Soon verse, but the main difference is his voice actually sounds decent on there (he goes casual half way through anyway) - his shouting voice then had a more of an effect than his hoarse scream does, because it's less monotone, with more tone changes and intonations/expressions.

But that's a modern Eminem song, thus nullifying your opinion and categorizing you as retarded.

You're right. Dammit, he's right!
