I, for one, liked the Get Rich or Die Trying movie. Can't say the same for 50's other movies, as I don't recall seeing them, although they look and sound horrible.

This point people keep making about Em 'playing himself' in 8 Mile is quite ridiculous because - most actors play versions of 'themselves'.

If you look at De Niro, he's pretty much only good or impressive or regularly plays sociopaths of some-kind. He's also awkward and often quick-tempered or flustered in any role, which he appears to be in real life.

Most actors simply inject their personalities into whatever the role may be. The point is, they're all saying lines that did not originate in their brains - lines that were written in a script and which they have to convey realistically as if being said in real life, in real situations. That's acting.

A good actor is a good actor. In 8 Mile - Em was naturalistic, believable and realistic in his delivery of lines and his physical acting. He's clearly a good actor. The fact the storyline mirrors his own is somewhat trivial, compared to the craft.

I think 50 takes very seriously his acting career. Remember how he changed for that role in the movie "all things fall apart".

About Eminem , 8 mile was great, but I hope he doesn't make another movie. Because I can't picture what argument could it have. So I'm glad that he is not involved in the boxing movie that people were talking about time ago, I prefer him to be focused in the music.

I thought JT was pretty poor in 'In Time". The movie was also horrendous.
