How do I know he wasn't just freestyling it? Because 90% of his battle bars were pre-written.

Eminem must have just written hundreds of bars in that 1996-1997 period...and some of those leftover bars he would have used for MMLP and Chronic 2001. Until the lyric sheets were stolen, of course.

Yeah I noticed that line too.

However in that particular video you can tell he's trying to really come off-the-top a lot, as a lot of it is awful. And when he really tries to come off-the-top he swears tons and babbles.

His best real freestyle is the 'Any Word' one. That's also the best genuine freestyle I've ever heard too - it's seamless, and continuous and just the feat of being able to do that. Even though, generally speaking: Em isn't anywhere near the best off-the-top rapper, he's a writer.
