they're an american band. I just noticed this, listening to their 2011 released album.

the lead singer had been having child custody problems with his wife, he talks about Eminem at the beginning of a song called Any Man In America, that talked about these problems which is similar to Em's.

I think he means that although Em made songs like Kim and '97 Bonnie and Clyde, he can still connect to some other of his songs like Mockingbird that are about being a father.
