has em ever got outshined on a track?

Postby tadpole25 » Feb 24th, '13, 15:01

i can think of some cases where other rappers came close or about even on collabs and features, but not many cases where eminem got shut out.

I think Proof dominated him on Revelation. Aside from that, I can't think of any.

Edit: Actually, thinking about it. On 2.0 Boyz, he (and Royce) had the worst verse. Also, I think, arguably, Budden had the best BET Cypher verse.

Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

No way Budden has the best Cypher verse.

I'd probably say he was 2nd though... Em, Budden and Yela def top 3. But Em's verse is easily the most creative, original, and the best in basically every way; rhyme, flow, delivery, humour etc.

I don't think Proof outshined him on "Revelation" either. His verse on that is amazing.

You could say Royce outshined him on "Fast Lane" though.

Yeah he said on a track though...

Proof was one of the best freestylers I ever heard. Smooth as fuck. Em was actually a bad real freestyler, but on occasion was incredible, his 'Any Word' one with Stretch is just amazing.

I agree with your list TRex, and he definitely got killed by Yelawolf and Banks.

Ambienem, all the time.

Eminem...I think he may have outshined himself on Forgot About Dre with the verses he wrote for Dre.

Crooked I on 2.0 Boys
Crooked I and Joell Ortiz on Loud Noises
Royce on Above The Law
Yelawolf on Throw It Up
50 Cent on Psycho
And Eminem had the best verse on Don't Push Me

I agree Banks outshined Em on Don't Push Me. I agree on 40 Oz as well.

Royce got outshined a few times on Hell the Sequel (Take from me) , but I think Em outshined Royce just a little more overall.

To add to the list, I think 50 Cent outshined Em on My Life, but ever so slightly.

The only time Eminem got murdered was on 2.0 Boyz. His verse was just terrible (probably his worst of all time).

If Em had 2 verses on My Life though, might have done a better one. Or should i say a spaghet-ter one.
