Feminist's win court case over "French Eminem"

Postby Shade135 » Jun 1st, '13, 08:37

http://www.thelocal.fr/20130531/feminis ... ent-lyrics

It may just be me, but I think the allowable tolerance for lyrics rope is getting shorter and shorter.

This just doesnt seem like it's all that bad, Eminem has said this kind of stuff before and still does, yeah he had gotten into alot of trouble over it but in court he has never been convicted unless I remember wrong.

One of the example lyric's in question translates to "women are whore's"....I don't think that's any worse then calling them cunt's in music...is it?

Had Eminem reached the level of superstardom where he wouldn't have been convicted anyway? I know alot of celebrities get in trouble with cop's and alot of them only get a warning because of who they are. Or maybe it's the context in which it was used? Maybe it's because year's ago some Eminem fan's threatened to burn down the town of Warren if he got convicted of whatever it was at that time.

I know he went through a lot of shit with the feminist's but then it just kind of stopped, maybe this guy need's to duet with Elton...Doesn't make much sence to me.
If you had one shot, or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted, would you capture it? Or just let it slip?

Orelsan is a dope rapper. He's provocative and makes great music. One of his most controversial song is kinda like Kim, rapping from the perspective of a guy being cheated on. However, it's not as cinematic and it's more of a "This is how I feel about you right now, this is how I wanna harm you" type of track.

It's really dope though. It's really fucked up that he got fined, but he's like one of the most popular french rapper so I'm sure he doesn't care and he would do it again if he had to.

Who gives a fuck in what form he posted it? The thing is - he said it, on the internet, he got locked. With this french rapper - it's not the question of free speech, it's just the bunch of women won the court cause they got offended. The same thing was with Rick Ross when he apologized for saying some rape stuff in one of his songs, the only difference - there wasnt any court case. And apologizing is much worse than the court case. It just means that a) Rick Ross is a fucking shook, b) USA really can be proud of their freedom of speech, when bunch of bitches without any court made super-duper gangsta n1gga to say 'im sorry...."

It's the misandrists that give feminism a bad name, honestly.
