Listening to Hell: The Sequel again...

Postby Snakebeast » Jul 30th, '13, 20:44

And it's so fucking awesome I'm having an orgasm with each fucking song but then my dick went soft with Lighters. Perked a bit at Take From Me, but then I was back to orgasm with Loud Noises and the last two bonus tracks.

THIS shit is the stuff I wanted to hear on Recovery, but didn't get enough of.

I know, man. That's what makes HTS a 9 for me rather than a 10. Though on closer look, Em's verse isn't that bad. It's okay. It's just that fucking Skeezington beat, Bruno FUCKING Mars, and Royce's GODAWFUL verse.

Not sure what happened to Royce on HTS. Some tracks he was just fucking RIPPING IT APART, sometimes even overshadowing Em (Fast Lane) but other times I was waiting for his verse to end (Reunion, both verses).

It's like if your girl was giving you really good head, and then partway through she was like "I need to do the dishes, just a second" and just left you sitting there hard.

Yeah, but people still just recognize that song as "Eminem and his black friend".

I agree, H:TS is fucking awesome. Just crazy punchlines and flows. Eminem on this is better than on Recovery. Fact.

Agreed. HTS Eminem combined with 2009 Em on some new stuff would be incredible.. Best he's been since TES.

That's true lol I've heard that many time here before.

If Royce and Em actually wanted to get just Royce buzz, they'd try to do something like Rock City again imo

I don't know about that, I personally liked him better on Recovery than H:TS. But admittedly the punch lines were better on H:TS.

I actually didn't like H:TS that much on first listen, but the more I listen to it the more enjoy it (other than lighters which is just god awful).

Felt fairly focused to me. Just a single body of sheer lyricism. Bad and Evil at its finest. Cept for Lighters and Take From Me. That just made me go "wtf BME y u do dis"

Honestly, I only listen to Lighters (which I didn't like at first), Take From Me, and I'm On Everything.

Em on lighters is decent. some repetitive shit but

main thing with this is Em has a lot of his bad punchlines and corny lines in here, and it ruins catchy beats and great flow.

these songs sound nice, but arent nice (to me)
