While that may be true in the sense that it displays some indifferent viciousness, I don't think "Cold Wind Blows" is conceptually a warning not to diss Eminem. I think it's a song that speaks to his cold nature, and as a result, mentions the Mariah Carey thing along with many other references to his general bad-assness.
Within this context, it seems like a bit of a reach to say that this line--which stands alone quite well--is a reference to a largely unheard song from a decade before. It's not impossible, of course...I just don't think there's enough to go on here to definitively say that this is the case.
"I Remember" is my favorite diss track from Eminem though.
