Also, man, just as you mention those beats... like, hearing them in my head; they're so rich and dark... it would be amazing if Em had a full album of himself over beats like this.
He's never really done that either... the first two albums are kind of funk rap with Dre and major Bass Bros influence, awesome beats but... not EM BEATS like these... then TES is heavily rock influenced, and whilst the production is awesome... I think "Renegade" is next-level.
That specific style of production "No Apologies" / "Renegade" aka pianos and strings and kind of layered, yet simple, dark beats... fits Em the best. The amount of classic Em vocals which has been wasted on shit production; I mean, imagine Recovery with production like this... then, the only real flaws would be the scattered bad puns, but other than that, it would be amazing.
These fucking shitty tinpot bedroom producers which make the stop and start clangy drum-heavy noisesets of poop which cluster vocals and just, blah, messy noise mess.
Shit doesn't sound like music even. Just noise. Em's beats sound like music yo.

Music business hate me cause the industry ain't make me
Hustlers and boosters embrace me and the music I be making
I dumbed down for my audience to double my dollars
They criticized me for it, yet they all yell "holla"
If skills sold, truth be told, I'd probably be
Lyrically Talib Kweli
Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
But I did 5 mill' - I ain't been rhyming like Common since
When your cents got that much in common
And you been hustling since, your inception
Fuck perception. Go with what makes sense
Since I know what I'm up against
We as rappers must decide what's most important
And I can't help the poor if I'm one of them
So I got rich and gave back, to me that's the win/win
So next time you see the homey and his rims spin
Just know my mind is working just like them
(rims, that is)
fantastic verse (that's the second btw, idk what embase is talking about).
