Best Eminem beat that Jay Z Rapped Over

Big fan of all three, 8 Miles and Running is very underrated. Very difficult to choose between Renegade and Moment of Clarity but I will go with Moment of Clarity, I absolutely love everything about that beat :y:

Um... "Moment of Clarity" is awesome... I'd say "Renegade" though.

Also, man, just as you mention those beats... like, hearing them in my head; they're so rich and dark... it would be amazing if Em had a full album of himself over beats like this.

He's never really done that either... the first two albums are kind of funk rap with Dre and major Bass Bros influence, awesome beats but... not EM BEATS like these... then TES is heavily rock influenced, and whilst the production is awesome... I think "Renegade" is next-level.

That specific style of production "No Apologies" / "Renegade" aka pianos and strings and kind of layered, yet simple, dark beats... fits Em the best. The amount of classic Em vocals which has been wasted on shit production; I mean, imagine Recovery with production like this... then, the only real flaws would be the scattered bad puns, but other than that, it would be amazing.

These fucking shitty tinpot bedroom producers which make the stop and start clangy drum-heavy noisesets of poop which cluster vocals and just, blah, messy noise mess.

Shit doesn't sound like music even. Just noise. Em's beats sound like music yo.

Moment of Clarity. Jay-Z fucking ruined this amazing beat. Listen to DJ Break's remix of The Way I Am, Eminem's acapella simply nails the beat.

^ Jay ruins / wastes a lot of beats though.

He seems to really be proud of his 'no writing / make shit up on the fly and mould it' mentality, but... Jay, you shouldn't be lmfao. Because often, it really, really shows. And it's the reason Em makes "White America's" and you spit really repetitive 1-2 flows, saying the same shit over and over.

He doesn't truly craft flows, he just hops from line to line... sometimes it works, sometimes really well; but, imagine how could it could be if he sat, wrote, re-wrote... his mentality is lazy imo.

And wow, just listening to "Moment of Clarity" again... especially on the 2nd verse... it's almost like he's just fucking around lmao. THIS is apparently one of the 'best rappers alive', god people are easily fooled. , compare this shit to even a recent Em track like "Cinderella Man"; the difference in skill and craftsmanship in Em's favour is other worldly...

Jay doesn't even keep a consistent flow sometimes; it's same tone, and just like endless one liners and lazy cramming in words and gaps and just fucking shabby rambling.

The only thing he is capable of right now is to edit his pseudonym.

I agree completely although I do prefer Moment of Clarity over Renegade. Imagine the beats he has stashed away :facepalm Could simply have just taken those beats for Recovery. Wish the Bass Bro's still worked with Em, I feel they played a very huge role in his production. Hopefully Luis Resto is working a bit on the Eminem beats, that is if Em is actually producing music on his next album.

For me personally the greatest recent injustice from Eminem was never rapping over that Kid Cudi - I Hear them Calling track. All we have is Kid Cudi on the hook and an unused epic Eminem beat :facepalm That track would have had so much potential

Asylum" and what we heard from that "We Did it" skit sounds different to his earlier production.

jay didn't ruin moment of clarity what the fuck lol

the beat isn't even good and it's still a 10/10 song

Music business hate me cause the industry ain't make me
Hustlers and boosters embrace me and the music I be making
I dumbed down for my audience to double my dollars
They criticized me for it, yet they all yell "holla"
If skills sold, truth be told, I'd probably be
Lyrically Talib Kweli
Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
But I did 5 mill' - I ain't been rhyming like Common since
When your cents got that much in common
And you been hustling since, your inception
Fuck perception. Go with what makes sense
Since I know what I'm up against
We as rappers must decide what's most important
And I can't help the poor if I'm one of them
So I got rich and gave back, to me that's the win/win
So next time you see the homey and his rims spin
Just know my mind is working just like them
(rims, that is)

fantastic verse (that's the second btw, idk what embase is talking about).

good, i'm glad someone addressed that. to quote the third verse, "these words aint just paired to go in one ear and out the other ear, NO!" loll.

remember that behindtheboards interview with eminem? he himself said that he wasn't feeling the Moment of Clarity beat and was really surprised that Hova chose that one out of all the ones Em offered. jay brought that beat to life tho.
