What do you think about ''Underground'' on Relapse? It's his hardest song on Relapse imo. His voice is at least somewhat like vintage Shady. Something is still a little off though in that track. He goes hard and rhymes hard but he's rapping about goofy things that don't really paint a realistic image in our minds.
''Underground'' made it seem like Em was going to carry on that style into Relapse 2. Instead Recovery was his next album. Is there any possibility though that the song was intended to hint to us that at some point in the future he would eventually revert back to his MMLP style one more time?
I just think there is a possibility (not a sure thing) that Em was thinking about his next few albums ahead of time. Maybe it occurred to him that he would eventually go back to his roots and he did Relapse and Recovery to take some pressure off of him. But in the meantime, it could have been in the back of his mind all along. Just a theory, but it is Eminem after all. You have to remember, I was right that he was making a sequel to MMLP, so this could have been semi planned in his mind all along to shock us. If MMLP2 is a classic, then all will be forgiven.
