How You Would've Put Songs In Order

Postby Satan » Aug 31st, '13, 20:24

This means replacing songs, and/or switching out songs.

The Eminem Show
1. Curtains Up (skit)
2. White America
3. Square Dance
4. Business
5. Stimulate
6. Cleanin' Out My Closet
7. The Kiss (skit)
8. Soldier
9. Paul (skit)
10. Without Me
11. Superman
12. Drips
13. Say Goodbye Hollywood
14. Hailie's Song
15. 'Till I Collapse
16. Steve Berman (skit)
17. When The Music Stops
18. Sing For The Moment
19. My Dad's Gone Crazy
20. Curtains Down (skit)

I mostly switched spots on songs, because I like/love every song on the album except Say What You Say, because I hate that one. I put Drips after Superman as some sort of continuation, lol.

Encore
1. Curtains Up (skit)
2. Evil Deeds
3. Never Enough
4. Mosh
5. Love You More
6. Yellow Brick Road
7. Bully
8. Paul (skit)
9. We As Americans
10. Monkey See, Monkey Do
11. Em Calls Paul (skit)
12. Just Lose It
13. Canibitch
14. Ricky Ticky Toc
15. Spend Some Time
16. Mockingbird
17. Like Toy Soldiers
18. Come On In
19. Final Thoughts (skit)
20. Encore/Curtains Down (skit)

Self explanatory why the tracklist is like this, lol.

Relapse
1. Dr. West (skit)
2. My Darling
3. 3 a.m
4. My Mom
5. Insane
6. Hello
7. Tonya (skit)
8. Same Song & Dance
9. Bagpipes From Baghdad
10. Buffalo Bill
11. Paul (skit)
12. Stay Wide Awake
13. Medicine Ball
14. Old Time's Sake
15. Music Box
16. Must Be The Ganja
17. Mr. Mathers (skit)
18. Be Careful What You Wish For
19. Deja Vu

I added My Darling, Be Careful What You Wish For, Buffalo Bill, and Music Box to replace We Made You, Beautiful, Underground, and Crack A Bottle. The album ends after Deja Vu, leaving space for the storyline and concept to continue onto Relapse 2 (R.I.P).

Recovery
1. Cold Wind Blows
2. On Fire
3. W.T.P
4. Session One
5. Seduction
6. So Bad
7. Almost Famous
8. Ridaz
9. Here We Go (Untitled)
10. Talkin' 2 Myself
11. Fly Away
12. Cocaine
13. Going Through Changes
14. Not Afraid
15. Cinderella Man
16. Space Bound
17. You're Never Over

17 songs, but no Won't Back Down. We have 9 tracks of Eminem just messing around and having fun, and 8 personal songs (Space Bound is in the place of LTWYL, and is much darker and more brutally honest).

Also, in my world, the singles for Relapse would be Hello, Deja Vu, Stay Wide Awake, and 3 a.m.

Finding room for Stimulate in TES is sure hard. When The Music Stops is the weakest cut for sure, but at the time Em needed to promote D12.

As for Encore, IMO, the diss tracks should have remained on the mixtape. And I agree We As Americans should have made the cut, with Big Weenie being removed.

Relapse should have traded Old Time's Sake for Be Careful WYWF.

And IMO, Session One wasn't album worthy.

Old Time's Sake is GOAT, besides the "tahhhhhmmprathurzzz" line and the "pee on a girl" line.

Songs out of place would sound like a bunch of Encore albums.

He's rapin' me she try's to scream somebody please get him off me
He's tapin' me he's biting me he's laughing likes it's funny

Your Recovery couldn't sell two copies if you pressed a double album.

Not just that but it ruins the coherency of the album.

Em didn't want you to hear it like that.

This is why I always have a problem understanding why people claim to delete certain songs off of their album on itunes or add some other songs to it.

I couldn't imagine doing that, it would take away reality of what the album is.
