The sudden Encore love

The fuck? If you guys wanna appreciate an album, appreciate Relapse. But Encore? Is this a recent troll attempt or something?

Encore sucked initially, but aged well when you include the bonus cd and skip the wack tracks.

You need to listen to it more to understand

I have. Listen to Relapse more to understand IT. Anyone who doesn't like Relapse clearly doesn't have any understanding of the man who made it...

Well, Kill You... besides the joke/rushed songs, and including the bonus songs... Encore is a decent album. I, though, think this sudden love for it it's just trolling.

Me too, I mean, it's not terrible. But it's not great and not better than Recovery, to me anyway.

Relapse is quite appreciated in here. And Encore gets too much undeserved hate if you ask me, it is obviously not a masterpiece and it is below Em standards, but it is far from terrible, some rappers never get to make an album this good in their careers tbh (Lil Wayne imo).

I wouldn't call hopsin and a couple of other members attempt to convince themselves that the album is good a love fest.

Most members here think it's a big pile of shit, because it is. But that is OK, classics are hard to make, even good albums are hard to make, so, it's OK.

I enjoy the music that is good, I don't listen to the other stuff. Music isn't Wine. It doesn't age. It's good or it isn't.

People confuse their own tastes changing and or getting burnt out on music "aging" of music, it isn't. You changed, the songs didn't.

Nah man. Encore still sucks major cocks and is the worst album Eminem has ever made. It's just 3/4 posters who disagree.

This is not true in any way.

And can you really call an album good under conditions of skipping songs and adding songs to it? C'mon mayne

I think some of the songs on Encore are legitimately hilarious, and when I hear them I always smile and laugh. When the album came out, it was such a kick in the nuts because I thought Eminem's career as a dope MC was over. After his comeback, I just look at it as what it is. A weird trip Eminem went on when he was "gone off that water bottle".

Actually, it's the joke songs I like more because they're unique. The serious songs...I just compare them to more lyrical songs from other albums about the same topic. Yellow Brick Road is still dope, though.

I just don't see how Recovery is worse than it. Encore isn't terrible, as I said. But it's very subpar and lackluster. Some amazing songs are on Encore like Yellow Brick Road and Spend Some Time.

I also think that Encore is the worst of Em's albums (Infinite not included). There is absolutely no doubt about that. We can argue about it all day long, but this fact remains.
I fell like on this forum most of you guys like to stomp on Encore and put it under the ground, while praising the other albums more or less. If Em's albums would be 6 brothers, you would say Encore is the retarded one, the stupid one, the no-one-cares-about one, the unwanted. It's not fair. Encore is weaker than the other albums, but it's not the worst album of all time.
For me, Encore is very very listenable (not all of it). It has good serious songs, LTS and Mockinbird, and the sound very Eminem-like. Compared to Beautiful. I also enjoy Just Lose It and Ass Like That. They're not very clever or lyrical or anything like that, but they're funny and cool to listen to. I think Em never intended to make something lyrical and complex out of those two songs. They're meant to be fun. This goes to many other songs on the album. Most of you guys don't like how Encore turned out, I understand that. But for me, Slim Shady LP is farther away from the Eminem I like than Encore.

This is how it works for me
