When Eminem Finshed MMLP2 It Looked Like This

Postby emusic » Oct 29th, '13, 22:41

I believe this was the original Tracklist, and I will explain why:

1. "Bad Guy"
2. "Parking Lot" (skit)
3. "Rhyme or Reason"
4. "So Much Better"
5. "Legacy"
6. "Asshole" feat. Skylar Grey
7. "Rap God"
8. "Brainless"
9. "Stronger Than I Was"
10. "So Far..."
11. "Headlights" feat. Nate Ruess
12. "Evil Twin"

Without These four:
"Love Game" feat. Kendrick Lamar
"Monster" feat. Rihanna
"Berzerk"
"Survival"

Maybe it also had these, before they got replaced by the above tracks:
"Baby"
"Desperation" (featuring Jamie N Commons)
"Groundhog Day"
"Beautiful Pain" (featuring Sia)
"Wicked Ways / Silence / Ken (skit)

So it ends like Relapse with Ken.

He finished recording it in April (the horn photo raw file says it was taken in April, why would Eminem take a promo photo for an unfinished album?)

That was before he met Lamar in June, And before they did the COD deal in June.

Something happened, That resulted in all these four tracks.

Up until August Lamar said that he didn't do anything with Em. (well, there is a possibility that he was bluffing.)

Rihanna track was recorded in September.

Berzerk, was the last track recorded.

Survivl, well, the COD Deal.

Anyway.

The only track that we heard and we liked, Was already on the first track-list, So this makes me hopeful for the rest of the tracks, that we didn't hear.

I don't think the album will be Recovery-ish, at least because the Bad-Ass image that Eminem is trying to reflects in the promo photos, and how Rap god sounded, and some of the original tracks names.

Flaw in your logic (sort of).

The Ken skit is at the end of Evil Twin on the standard.

well, I didn't know that :sweating: it's cool that it's in there.

Yes! I think so too, I honestly think it's so creative. I mentioned it just to say it's different from the original tracks.

Maybe because Berzerk wasn't as big as big of a single as LTYL, they made the Riahnna track.

True. it feels like he trying to ADJUST, that's why we're getting some random label influenced singles. He can't trust his 40 year old detached self.

That's part of the reason I like the idea of so many really long songs. If they are that long that means that they could never have been intended for radio. Know what I mean?

YES!!! great point, this gets one excited.

I like your theory so much I had to register just so I could tell you. Although Monster is the only tune I actively dislike, I am getting a bit nervous for the tracks we haven't heard. So thank you, I feel better already.

I agree with this - I think people will be shocked by the rest of the content after hearing the first singles.

How could Berzerk be the last song recorded if it was released before The Monster was even recorded?

Rihannas hook was recorded in September. Em had that song for a long time. Even Koolo had heard a version of it without Rihanna
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Nah man, he kept The Monster definitely because that shit is 1000/10 best song on the album. He was forced to put bullshit like Rap God on it.

Rihanna laid down her vocals in September—Em's parts were probably done well before that (if we're to believe Koolo, he talked about it in August and said it just needed a hook). In January, the original writers of the song found out Shady Records wanted it.

Even if Berzerk was one of the last tracks recorded (and I'm not sure it was), honestly I think it was always intended to be on the album.

Survival already existed before Paul called up Activision to work out a deal. Em just changed the production to better fit the game.
