The last 2 minutes of bad guy is unreal. IMO it is up there with his best work.

When I read that this was "Stan 2" I was sure it would never work... But the motherfucker made it work. Song is badass. A 7-minute epic tale about his own murder, about very dark psychological exploration, about his own worst fears and insecurities, laid open right there for everyone in the world to see as clearly as if they could look right into his head. As the fucking album opener.

The only song on the album that really blows you away.

The story itself is less credible than Stan, but it works anyway since he makes it so clear that it's mainly symbolic... And THAT is what makes it so horrible and haunting. Lot of symbolism in the original Stan too of course but he also successfully made it a credible and realistically narrated story.
