A Victory for EM/MMLP2

Postby EminemBase » Nov 3rd, '13, 02:38

Seems as if...

MMLP2 is going down well with even people who are usually 'meh' about Em.

I think the musical aspects of the album has a lot to do with that...

Which just goes to show a lot of people don't dislike Em but just find his musical backing generic.

Because - my friend who used to be in to Em as a kid (first MMLP) but has teased me about Em since and said he's shit and a popstar and sold out and yada yada... (he thought Em sold out with TES... LOL - just in reality, Em became too huge to be cool to dig any more)...

But even he thinks this is a great album and has been listening for a few days.

My gf digs the shit out of it too, she said normally she's bored or can't sit through an entire new album, even MJ albums (she's a massive MJ fan), but the first time listening to MMLP2, she didn't skip a track and she pisses herself @ "So Far..."

That's quite a victory for this album yo, if even usual detractors or half-fans are loving it.

Yeah it's certainly different, I was sub-consciously singing along (quietly) to rhyme or reason at work the other day and my co-worker to my right caught on and said "have you heard the whole album yet?" Which is crazy especially because this was during the leak and not the launch.

More importantly though when we gettin' that Embase mmlp2 review yo ?

yes, it is a victory. it may not beat TES, but it can stand alongside it in quality, which is good enough for me.

seeing as his previous three albums kept coming up short.

One good sign is that people seem to either love it or hate it. The worst thing is when people are in the middle. So far, the opinions on this album seem more extreme than they were with Relapse and Recovery.
