Any Survival Fans?

Postby EndoveProduct » Nov 11th, '13, 02:26

After learning the entire song by heart. Listening to it after ROR and before Legacy.
I can safely say that I've become a fan of this beast. If it weren't connected to COD, I think many of you would rate it a little higher. It's a GREAT track.

I'm a fan of Survival! Not the best song by any means, nor the song with the most replay value, but that 3rd verse and overall just insanely fun to rap along with.

It's aight... Em's energy on it is great but it's my least favorite out of the album.

The song has a generic hook, and generic beat, but verses are good/great. In my humble opinion.

Shouldn't have been on the album or anything to do with it. It sounds NOTHING like the rest of the album. The Monster and all it's horribleness sounds closer to the rest of the album than Survival.

It should have stayed as a COD track, and nothing more or less. It's mediocre. Everything about it is.

The rapping is alright, Em has some decent bars on the 2nd and 3rd verses, though the 3rd verse ends with the terrible Achoo Achieve line. But the beat is generic and crappy, and the hook is everything that was wrong with most of the chick hooks on Recovery.

5/10, only reason it's not a 2-3 is because Ems rapping at some parts is solid.

Yes, I know the song word for word. I love it. But not on the album, would rather it have been a bonus.

Decent track definitely one I would listen to but if I believe it should have been switched out for Groundhog Day or Baby to make the album flow a little better.

I'd probably like it more if it had a better chorus. The third verse is quite good.

I loved it from day one.

It's a perfect sequel to 'Till I Collapse.

"Survival" fan right here, though it definitely would fit perfectly on Recovery. Dope track.

Big fan. One of his best "stadium tracks" post comeback for sure. The first time i heard it, i felt transported to a big ass stadium with thousands of people with our hands up.

Was slightly concerned that it would "fit" on a Recovery-esquire album but luckily its such a klusterfuk of songs there really isn't that sound "cohesion" so to speak. So, no worries. Love it.

I will say the verses aren't particularly groundbreaking so it may be considered filler. Still good filler.
