It was just a reference? Because the whole Business track talks about cleaning the town of wack rappers, saving the rap game. And since Em didn't release any album since 2000, I thought he may be was refering to Jay Z as one of these wack rappers that were on the spotlight at that moment. Maybe just a joke, since he on TIC praised Jay.

eminem has no respect for jayz and any veiled compliments he pays him are just that. the reference in TIC could be there sarcastically, as in jayz is a sellout or overrated. on top of that, he murdered him on a recycled royce track, and again (and again and again) on rap god. disses jay outright in get money freestyle. disses beyonce in no apologies freestyle. like he said in evil twin eminem believes with all his heart that he is the best alive. and he is.
