...2004/2005 Em was the king of choruses.
Keep Talkin', Slow Your Roll, How Come, Mockingbird, Black Cotton, Soldier Like Me, No More To Say, Welcome 2 Detroit, I'll Hurt You, Drama Setter, Off To Tijuana... damn at the time he was a goat rapper (in the sense that he actually rapped the way a goat, the animal, would do) but he had his melody game on

Yup, his drugged up hooks were awesome. It's just the verses sucked.

I wouldn't mind hearing him on songs like that as long as his verses were more like the one on Obie's There They Go where it still had him talking like himself, rather than something like his Welcome 2 Detroit City verse where he was basically a 50 Cent clone.

Right, forgot about D-Block.
Anyway I agree. The gangsta persona didn't suit him well, G-Unit had a really big influence on him during that time but still, some of the verses of that era are good.

I actually really liked his hooks on that 2Pac album.

Shit, I liked that album a lot. Bar the production sometimes.

The thing about that album is that it doesn't sound like a 2Pac album, but like an Em album.
That's why Pac fans didn't really like it.
