I already know what you're thinking. That I'm writing another stupid thread on MMLP 2 and am bipolar and am constantly changing my mind. I have already said I am very ambivalent about the MMLP 2. I already have confessed that. My feeling does change with this album and that applies to everyone else.
I have a new theory. The MMLP 2 has a deeper, hidden meaning behind it. His goal was actually NOT to do another MMLP. See, we all try to match the MMLP with the MMLP 2, but they are completely different in meaning and intent. W
When you think about songs like ''Stronger Than I was'' and ''The Monster'' and of course ''Headlights'' you start to understand that this album was not meant to be in cohesion with the MMLP. In fact it may have been sadly made to be the opposite of the MMLP.
You see. Eminem made all his songs on the MMLP 2 match. ''Rap God'' was not really his main song, as a matter of fact it was the filler. I kept wondering why none of the other songs sounded like Rap God. Because Rap God was actually the filler, no the other way around. The MMLP2 was meant to be for songs like So Far, Legacy, Headlights, etc.. Then the other songs were built around it. That's why it was confusing this whole time. This album has a deeper meaning. It really is a Recovery 2 so to speak, but it's more like a Recovery than Recovery is, which makes it quite confusing.
But make no mistake. I think his next album is going to go HARD. He had to let his emotions out. And tbh I needed it to. The MMLP 2 really helped me, with how I was going through a tough time with my ex. Songs like STIW really help me. Even Beautiful Pain helps me. It's just that sometimes I don't want help. Sometimes I want to listen to something bad.
