He's 38 this year, I really think he needs to totally drop all of that zaniness to be taken seriously now. Because he's seriously risking damaging his legacy as real lyricist / artist.

Not because he doesn't deserve his place but because so many people just think that's all he does / stands for and just remember his wacky singles.

He needs a good few albums of none of that now IMO. Still can do it in his music but much better actual wit / irony. What he started with and not just plain silliness.
