I don't think somebody needs to be in a spot light a lot in order to be an A lister. Most of the celebs that are all over the media like Kim Kardashian or Lilo are actually C-listers at least. An A lister doesn't need so much attention in order to sell products. On the other hand somebody like Heidi Montag doesn't have other option. If her CD sells around 1000 copies in the first week, media attention is the only option to survive.

A-Lister / B... Whatever, are crass terms anyway. Like celebrities are ranked purely on how much they're recognized, shit's so fucking embarrassing and shallow lmao.

But, in terms of his 'stature' in that sense, he's higher even than that. He's quoted by living poets, taught in some high-level English classes (ALREADY!), he's... A living icon. He's had an incredible effect on the culture of youth, Worldwide. At one point his command over his generation was fucking Nazi-like.

He's an immortal artist, legend and he's become this in such a short space of time. So to answer your question again, yes. He's that and much more than that. In pure fame too.
