While on the subject can anyone explain who Em's verse is directed towards? I always thought it was about Royce or outsidaz. Royce denied the song is about him.

The chorus seems certain to be directed at Royce ("I heard it through the grapevine we even beefing now") but the verse I think is left deliberately open to people who he had to leave behind when he blew up.

But the verse is obviously not about Royce becuase of "When Ronnie died you were right by my side with a shoulder to cry on". Em only met Royce in 1997.
