Frank Ocean is nasty. Tyler can be clever, but I don't like the low-fi beats he raps over. Although Yonkers is sick. I LOVE Trouble On My Mind with Pusha T though. And Earl has potential, but I'm not feelin him as of now.

They are the most boring things to listen to.

I dunno about the group, but if it's similar to Yonkers I won't like it.

It's funny because Yonkers is actually one of their best songs.

Anyways, I'll just reiterate what I said on SL. I find most of Tyler & Earl's music extremely irritating and the obvious bandwagoners piss me off almost as much as black-rimmed glasses with no lens, both of which always prompt me to ask "Are you a fucking faggot?"

After hearing Yonkers, where everything about Tyler, including the flaws, seemed to have blended perfectly, I got excited for Goblin thinking it would have been a huge step up from everything that had made me want to kill myself so far. It wasn't.

Tyler either comes off as clever or obnoxious to me. The rasp on his voice sounds so forced and when he shows it off it makes me cringe. Though they have a few dope songs and while their beats may be unlike what is out there right now, they're heavily under produced. Sometimes it works in their favor ("Yonkers", "Golden") and other times it feels like they're trying too hard and sounds ridiculously sloppy (The majority of Goblin). Honestly, Tyler's like a mentally challenged kinder-gardener who's shoving multiple square pegs into a single round hole, and instead of punishing him for his insolence, the older kids are cheering him on, jumping around & flailing their arms in a frenzy while chanting the word "swag". It's different, I guess, but so what? The album Goblin - so what?

This group is a prodigious, overrated, 11 membered so-what? Frank Ocean is dope though.

The majority of their work is similar to Yonkers, so yeah, I'd say don't bother unless you think it will grow on you.

Frank Ocean is worth checking out if you're looking for something different though.

I've only really checked out Tyler. And from him, I like him and presumably them (assuming the others are similar, which they appear to be from the little I've seen). Although, I listened to a Frank Ocean song Royce or, Joe Budden I think was raving about, and thought it was shit. So I probably won't like all of the individual members. But overall, I get it.

I like them as they represent angst at its most inner-core. It's kind of youthful and aimless at the moment though. They're dying to mean something but don't quite mean anything, yet. But I can absolutely see the potential in... well, in Tyler at least.

I think there's an artist in there but that he just hasn't fully grown up or got a grasp of what he wants to say yet. But once he does, I think the sky's the limit. He definitely has the desire to go against the grain and be, weird. Which, is a good thing.

We need more like Tyler and less like Drake. Like I say, at the moment it's all a bit gooey, but the foundation is there. I can sense the art beneath the bullshit, it just needs more form.

I disagree. Frank Ocean has some really incredible songs. Mellowhype has a couple great ones too. At least check out some of their music before you dismiss it all. There are a lot of different personalities and sounds within the group. Don't judge them all based on Tyler, because they're not all like him. They have totally different styles.
