It was more dark as compared to the first album being more light but it was still just as good musically, if not better.

Both albums are excellent, but I like Legend of Mr. Rager a bit more.

The best way to metaphorically describe both albums is the first one is like a journey through a bunch of beautiful vistas on space, while the second is a place full of dark holes and empty space.

MOTM2 has better production, and the theme/concept is stronger.

Awesome news. Cudi just tweeted that he's on the studio with Dot Da Genius (Day N' Nite, Marijuana) already making his next album. According to him, Summer will be "Cudi Time", so it makes me believe that he'll drop an album in a couple months. :worship:

I hated the first album so much I almost didn't listen to the second. I was glad I did because the second is just great. It is superior in almost every way. The concept is stronger, the production is amazing and the songs go to places no one has gone before.

Kudi to me falls into to no categories. He is a blend of many and while sometimes this works other times it doesn't where the tracks feel all over the place and scattered. I dunno thats just what I hear.

It's time for me to just vent about everything Cudi.

He is by far the greatest thing to happen to hip-hop in the past few years. He is the link between older generations and "rap". My dad absolutely hates rap music and Eminem, but when he heard me playing Kid Cudi, he said "I like this guy, he's actually got some melody and feeling in his music." His choruses are top notch, every single time. He's got an ear for chill, unique beats. He's got good flow and a great voice for rap. The only way he could improve his actual would be to use more complex rhymes and rhyme schemes. But even that doesn't bother me because he still has incredible presence on the mic. He actually cares about the genre, enough that he pushes the envelope, mixes it with rock/techno/pop/alternative and all around encourages it to grow and expand. He has the ability to uplift (Heart of a Lion/ Up Up & Away), put you in a party mood (Mojo So Dope/ Ashin' Kusher/ Wild'n Cuz I'm Young), or a relaxed introspective mood (These Worries/ Mr. Rager/ Cudi Zone/ The Prayer). Or he can just make a damn good radio song like Erase Me, Day N Nite, Pursuit of Happiness & Soundtrack to My Life. He has two albums out, and he already has two classic, well-produced concept albums. He has a great mixtape and connections to amazing producers and artists. His new song Capcom off of "A Man Named Scott" is an absolutely phenomenal song. I can't wait for the Summer of Cudi. Kid Cudi is a bright light at the end of the Hip-Hop tunnel.

I never thought much of his rapping.. but I don't think that's the point of his music really.
He's a dope all around artist though.
