I always thought cussing was the foundation of hip-hop culture, I seriously don't know why people get offended by the word.
Just like the South Park episode, we will never know why people get offended soo badly by it.

It's not really a word white people would use frequently in real life, I think the black style of rapping rubbed onto the white community of MCs.

I think black dudes use it all the time to try to make it less offensive, who knows.

I personally find "coon" and "porch monkey" to be WAY more offensive than the n word...those are actually referring to black people, when the n word is supposed to just mean an ignorant person...but it's become a slang term for "homie" really or just referring to anyone..."That n**** crazy..."
