I haven't listened to all of nas but I own illmatic, it was written, nas (untitled), I am..., stillmatic, and God's son. Which album should I buy next I'm trying to buy all of his albums.

i'm one of those guys who thinq " it was written " is better than illmatic .. Illmatic is a classic .. it brought lyricism back to the gangsta rap , so in terms of impact yes .. but from a pure hip hop point of view i dont thinq illmatic is the greatest album ever as they describe it ...

on the other note : untitled aka "nigger" is a solid album give it a shot !

Ya I got that one shipping in from amazon as we speak. Honestly I think it was written is his third best. I think illmatic is his best SLIGHTLY followed by stillmatic but it's a 1 and 1a thing for me.

Don't buy - Street's Disciple, Nastradamus, The Firm Album, QB Finest (Queensbridge The Album), Greatest Hits. It's not really worth the money. You should buy Distant Relatives though.

^lol, so true. Most people bash Nastradamus, but Street's Disciple is horrible as well, the majority of the beats are incredibly bad. And this comes from a huge Nas fan.

It's hard for me to rank the albums, but, here's a top 3:
1. It Was Written
2. Illmatic
3. Stillmatic

I mainly put IWW over Illmatic because it has a more mature and dark vibe to it that I enjoy more than the classic stuff.
