Kanye West doesn't have any below average album. All his albums are great, though I might not like MBDTF as much as everyone, it's still a 9/10 album.

Exactly, he doesn't have any bad albums and imo he has 3 classics (mdbtf, cd, lr), Graduation and 808's are both great.

That's entirely subjective. I personally think Eminem has the best discography of all rap artists (not to compare, or turn it into that type of thread) followed by Tech N9ne. That's probably why they're my favourite artists, because I can relate to and enjoy the majority of their albums and songs. It's not the case for me personally with Kanye, and I find him to be a very average rapper, not overall artist. I'm more into the technical side of it, and that's why you see me liking the music that I like.

We have differing opinions, but that's cool. It's what makes music great.

Well like I said, it's your opinion. To you, he's one of the greatest. To me he's boring as hell on 90% of his songs and I mainly listen to him, if at all, for the features. I don't care about his message, his beats, anything. If he's not intriguing to listen to to begin with, the other stuff won't spice it up for me. He's just annoying to me.

Exactly. Stans always bring up the fact that Eminem always changes his sound but he stopped evolving after TES/8 Mile. He tried to be what he once was and ended up being a caricature of his former self.

His sound CHANGED but he didn't exactly evolve, he took the easy way out. Put out a mainstreamish punchline rap album so casual hip-hop listeners would buy it. Recovery was not an artistic risk AT ALL.

That's not really what happened. He just changed it because he does something different on every album, which makes his sound so distinct each album phase, and his fans were upset because they didn't want 2 accented albums in a row.

Making each of your albums sound fresh is "evolving" to me. But this thread isn't about him, so I don't know why you guys keep bringing him up.

That's exactly what happened lol. He wanted to be accepted into the mainstream again so he did what was popular. Had Rihanna on a hook (which I don't even mind if the song was good, she can sing) and used a TON of punchlines because it's popular.

Now I expect a huge change on his next album now that he's huge again but since almost everything he's released after Recovery has been trash I don't expect much.
