How often do you like when artists

put out double disc albums? 1. I'm just curious as to what people think about this in a general, & 2. I'm thinking of making my debut album a double disc but not sure if I should.

I think it's great, but it depends on the artist. No one wants to listen to a double disc worth of Souljah Boy material, but when Biggie put out Life After Death, & Pac w/ All Eyez On Me, etc. it was incredible.

Thoughts on this?

I like Tech N9ne's Killer album. It's a double album and I enjoy it all.

Agreed, & so since you've said I'm dope on several occasions, you think I should make it a double album?

What I like to, & tend to do is make real songs, not all club shit, but besides the album being mostly real subject type songs & lyrical songs, I'll put a club song & a couple songs for girls so that every listener enjoys my music, but still without compromising fully into being a pop artist.

Not me, half or more is usually filler. An example is All Eyez on Me which I think becomes very pointless filler once the 2nd disc starts, Blueprint 2 is just no, and its harder to listen to a double album all the way through in one sitting. Going back to the era when albums were usually 45 minutes max I find most double albums from them are great and usually no longer than 75min, but now its rare that I like one.

A lot of good points there, & I agree w/ most of it. That's why if I do go w/ a double album, having songs that everyone likes might make it a little easier to listen to all the way through, considering it's a double album.

If you think you have enough great material to put out a double album go for it.
