Keep in mind that most rappers are not much richer than us. They are actually broke. They get $1 million check, spend it on taxes/bling/sports cars and as Big Boi said, rappers "live beat to beat".

Most of the rich rappers earn money by producing, owning a label, putting out clothing (JayZ, PDiddy) and endorsing products - not their album sales.

Eminem isn't the wealthiest because he doesn't have as many entreprenurial ventures as other rappers, even though his album sales tower.

Are you fucking kidding me, if they have $1 mil to spend they ain't broke and don't live beat to beat, that just means they weren't wise with their money.

Eminem easily could be number one thing is he does hardly any tours and sells little to not merchandise. Hes number 9 from his album sales alone which is impressive since he did not put one out at all even.

Yes, and nearly all of them weren't wise with their money. Since, they aren't making nearly enough to warrant the expensive lifestyle they live. The top 5% of rappers like Eminem, Jay Z, Drake, etc. will probably be wealthy for many years to come. But 95% of rappers just come out with one or two hits, they get their million dollar check, the realize all the expenses they have to pay to the recording corporations, and in a year they are broke and we've all forgotten about them.

And, really, how many people who acquire such a large sum of money overnight, is wise with it?
