Any more god talk and Hopsin's place in my top 10 may become unstable. I mean, not really, but while I have tolerance for most of the things he's doing, like dissing rappers, contacts and whatnot, bringing up religion and especially in that fashion is just absurd.

Yeah, I know, but he doesn't need to bring it up 10 times in an interview. And the way he does it, I don't know, it's just very irritating, especially since he's been doing a lot lately, like on Facebook and stuff.

He said something about talking to god, then being against Odd Future because of anti-christ references. He also mentioned it a couple of time in the part 1 of this interview, if I'm not mistaken. It's like a sort of a propaganda, like Em with the close-ups of that g shock watch, it's a subtle thing but it's still an obvious "advertising".

Well...they asked him about Odd Future and he doesn't like what they promote/represent. I guess you can flip it on Hop and say it's hypocritical to be against what they promote whilst concurrently promoting your own belief, but that's literally the only way to express his view lol.

haha, yeah, but don't get me wrong, you know I'm a big Hopsin fan, it's just sometimes I get annoyed.

His reaction to their 666 shit is exactly what they expected and wanted out of people lol. Can't believe people take that seriously. If his music were to be taken literally, he'd be considered an advocate of murdering people... doesn't sound like a man of "god" to me.

But he seems like a decent guy, all hypocritical comments aside.

Tbh, I'm buying a copy of Knock Madness now just because Hopsin is real. I understand y'all may not like his faith but he's not bashing anyone's beliefs, he's just making his known. I'll be real, I'm Christian, maybe not as devote as Hopsin but I respect what he's doing even if he may be somewhat annoying by doing it. As soon as he bashes Islam, Buddism, or any other belief though I'm done with him. There is no need for putting religious beliefs against others, we are all humans just living on earth for the present. I mean I don't hate on Lupe for being Muslim, I buy his albums. I just choose to stick to my faith because it has guided well in my life so far, that doesn't mean I have to hate other religions and burn a Qur'an on YouTube, etc.

And Slim Fiasco, I'm not trying to bash your stance on the subject. I'm just giving you mine. We're chill and I hope it stays that way :y:

All that being said however, when it comes down to quality and quantity, Hopsin's music doesn't lead either catagory for me and that's too bad. I feel he needs to be more innovative than just rehashing over used subjects with a couple of forced rhymes and cheap beats.

He's kind of bashing Tyler's beliefs simply because he is purely misunderstanding Tyler's point in his songs and what he truly is about. Tyler's an Atheist. It's widely known that he is and he states in songs he is, but Atheists don't worship anything, especially something we find as silly as the "devil".

Them claiming they're a triple six squad is just like Hopsin claiming he's going to kill Eazy E's wife. Yet, Hopsin can claim to be a holy man? I'm not doubting he's a holy dude, a good dude. But he's really being ignorant towards this issue. Their music is as exaggerated and solely for an entertainment purpose as much as his is. They're kids having fun and are more popular than Hopsin and I think he's just a liiiiitle jealous.

And I agree with that, Cube. I see him being a little ignorant and jealous when it comes to Tyler's music, but I don't take Tyler's devil references seriously and I don't think Tyler does either. He's basically just taking the piss out of up tight Christians that have no sense of humor. But as soon as Hopsin says all atheists are stupid for their beliefs without a decent argument that isn't hostile in nature, I just let it be. It's partly marketing for Hopsin anyway, like controversy is Tyler's. Hopsin is the Christian underground rapper with rough edges, it appeals. I mean you could flip it and say Tyler is indirectly bashing Christian beliefs, but there's no point. Tyler is an atheist, and though I may not agree, it's his choice.

Pretty sure Hopsin doesn't care where he get's placed in your top rappers list, who are you to him?

I don't know man, but he often calls me god or something. He's been mentioning me a lot lately, so I guess I'm important to him.

I totally agree with this. I mean, to me, it doesn't matter what their faith is as long as they put out good music.

Love Hop, can't wait for Knock Madness.
