What accolades do you hold that makes your opinion on hip-hop more viable than his?
Quick story:
I was out having some drinks with friends one night and some random condescending scotch snob tells me the Glenlivet 12 that I bought, drank, and enjoyed is piss water and I don't know what real scotch is. So I asked him for a suggestion. He told me to try a Laphroaig. It was triple the price and tasted like drinking rubbing alcohol out of a wooden spoon and I went back to drinking my "piss water" because it's what I enjoy and pleases my senses.
Am I wrong for not liking the suggestion of a "self proclaimed expert" and countless reviews of the liquor? No. He has his opinion and I have mine. They just differ.
In a more relevant scenario, I think Yelawolf is terrible and sounds like what I imagine a squirrel would sound like if they had the evolved vocal chords to rap. Telling me my opinion is wrong and I lack credibility is incredibly pretentious.
Credibility only matters in fact based areas such as academics. When Shyne criticizes Neil deGrasse Tyson for his research on inter-universe travel then I can get on board that he has no credibility speaking on the matter.
We know why Shyne said this. The same reason he reneged on his truce with Diddy after the negative reactions to his recent music, especially that verse everyone heard and laughed at on Tha Carter IV. The same reason he came out and was clearly trying to upset the Hip-Hop community by calling President Barack Obama a phony.
He's irrelevant. He craves the attention and I bet you panned that guy's opinion when your drink tasted like ass.
