I don't see how I'm biased for thinking Hopsin is cornier than Drake lol. But yes that line is corny, Drake can be pretty corny at times. But I'm not really co-signing much of Drake's music pre Take Care. Before this thread all I've said about Drake is that Take Care is good.

How is he a good writer? Everybody could write what Drake writes. In fact there was a thread here where we all just went full retard and wrote YM lines, and some of them really sounded like Drake or any YM member could've wrote em.

Is that supposed to be deep or meaningful? Drake doesn't write anything special. His writing isn't great.

idk if you've actually listened to take care but it's not quite the same as his other work or basically any other ym release. I think the songwriting is pretty good and it's not filled with those hashtag (I think that's what they're called lol) punchlines. It sets a nice atmosphere and it's a very smooth listen imo. I'm not calling him the best lyricist ever, I'm just saying Take Care was executed very well.

Hopsin feels cheep to me. He forces multies a LOT which takes away from the lyricism imo and a lot of the shit he says is extremely cringeworthy to me.

Earlier you said flow was the only thing going for him. Flow and delivery are like 50% of a rap song. Seriously, there is no way in hell Drake is better than Hopsin.

Lol flow/delivery definitely isn't 50% of a rap song. MF Doom can be considered one of the most monotone rappers of all time and people HATE his delivery/flow, but he's still a great, great rapper and better than Hopsin will ever be lol.

Take Care is better than any Hopsin release imo m8 I think we'll just have to agree to disagree.
