To be honest, I can see the music industry getting better. Recently, we have had people like Macklemore, Kendrick, and A$AP get mainstream recognition, and we also have (I know that these are not rappers or rap groups) but indie bands like Fun. that are also going mainstream. Music as a whole is going in a great direction right now, and hopefully it continues.

Your right, I usually do just go on with my life, but recently I just get a little angry

I've always had this stuff in the back of my mind, I just really wanted to share this with you guys, sometimes I wish I had been born sooner, and then I could have probably found this site and I would b one of the legendary posters :D :worship:

You are right, I really enjoy Macklemore and the people he has worked with! I do like the band Fun aswell, I just don't have any of their music. :D

What do you think about the Music Industry today? I hope I am not alone when I say rap/hip hop in particular is brainwashing the young minds of people across the country, (I'm talking mostly about the US.) I come from Upstate New York, my high school in general is full of followers, very few leaders. And what I mean to say is the music they listen to is based off what is the most popular on Itunes at the moment. I feel as though I can not relate to anyone in my school district or in my family because I listen to different rappers or entirely different genre of music. My most favorite music is Rap, Rap music such as Eminem, Slaughterhouse, D12, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Nas, Dr Dre, NWA, Eazy E, Hopsin, Busta Rhymes, The Game, Fort Minor, 50 Cent and G Unit, SwizZz, Twista, Yelawolf, and the Legend Tupac. I do listen to other underground rappers aswell.
The music people listen to around me in my daily life consists of Wiz Ka Queefa, Little Wayne, (I don't say "Lil" because I think it is very, illiterate.), Drake, All of the idiotic ASAP crew, All of the idiotic untalented YMCMB trash "rappers" who would all be working in sweat shops if Tupac was still Alive and pumpin'. 2 CHAAAAAAAAAIIIINNNZ who once said "She gotta big booty so Ima call her big booty". Trinidad James .. who is so annoying it's not even funny. Tyga is another disgrace to hip hop. There is so many I'm just gonna put down another list..
Rick Ross is a fake rapper, a prison guard officer gone wanna be gangster, fat fool even had the audacity to take a drug king pin name as his own, he has NO STREET CRED. There's no heart and soul put into music anymore. It's all about club bangers, sex and making money. And it all just sounds so fake. The songs going around about Swag are even more ridiculous, such as Lil B who talks about swag and everything else gay.
Future
Juicy J
Flo Rida
French Montana
Big Sean
Pusha T
Young Jeezy
Wale
Meek Mill
Kangay West, yes I said it.
Jay Z has even crashed and burned to me, I like his older stuff though
Oh and who can forget... Souljaboy
These are just some of the rappers I believe are absolutely TERRIBLE. One more thing, for the record there is ONE SONG by Lamar that I like, it is Compton, featuring Dr Dre. If you agree with what I have said about Music Today, tell me, if not and necessary to do so, Bring The Hate. I enjoy reading opinions on these matters.

Did you really put Pusha T in the list of shitty rappers? And Kanye? And you call yourself a hip-hop expert.

makclemore is going 2x plat with his single, Kendrick has the best selling hip hop album (let's admit that nicki released her album 6 months before gkmc) and he is doing as good as Bruno Mars's sales at the moment and Asap sold more than 100k with an album that leaked 1 month before his release.
We also have more diversity in hip hop and I completely agree with this article saying that 2012 was the best year for hip hop.

Yes I did, I don't like his music and never have. Kanye is the same, never liked his music, never will. And lastly, I never called myself a "Hip Hop Expert" anywhere in my post. I have no Idea where you got that from.
