Ghostface Killah Hoping To "Rhyme About God" On His Next LP

Ghostface Killah speaks on religion in new interview, says a lot of his questions were "answered through Islam."

With a Wu-Tang Clan album set for release this summer on top of the newly-released Twelve Reasons To Die, Ghostface Killah has quite a lot on his plate and he’s hoping to add even more thanks to a project that may catch some off guard.

As part of an in-depth interview with Fact Magazine, Ghostface revealed that he hopes to one day release a positive album about God, an album that people of all ages can enjoy. While speaking on the possible album, the Wu-Tang emcee shared that one of his duties in life is to teach and lead the people.

“Yeah, I wanna rhyme about God, I wanna do a God album, a positive album so the kids and everybody will understand what’s going on,” said Ghostface. “I want to tell what’s going on through my eyes. I don’t wanna give too many of my ideas away because people just be taking them. Feed the poor people, feed the animals, that’s one of the main reasons I’m here. God put me here to teach people and to lead people to his direction. I’m not a Christian, I’m a Muslim but God is one. I just believe in the most high. I know what my duty is.”

The Staten Island rapper further spoke on his religion and how many of his questions about life were answered when he began to study Islam.

“I’ve always been into Islam. I got a lot of questions and I got a lot of my questions answered through Islam,” Ghostface explained. “When I look at history and I look at all the prophets, I love them all from Moses, Noah, Jesus, Abraham, Solomon, David, Job, Ezekiel, John the Baptist, Jonah, all of them. I love them all because they all served a purpose. It’s like the stories I heard on all them prophets, I was fascinated by it.”

Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge’s Twelve Reasons To Die was released on April 16 while Wu-Tang Clan’s A Better Tomorrow is set for release this July.

How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?

Still it's nice to see someone having faith, nice change from all the drug addicted sinners running around.

I'm atheist, but faith is still a interesting topic to me.

As long as he doesn't get to preachy, or ramblings to much I think it might be OK.

I guess what I meant was what MistaVijilantee said. I don't mind when people are open about their religions, but I don't want to hear him preach about how good Islam is.

I agree with that :b:

It's a thin line preaching for god & preaching for religion.
