Lil Wayne, whether hes dope or weak, is the biggest modern influence rapper.

Why?

Because when Lil Wayne was making raps full of metaphors, similes, humor, punchlines puns and word play, nobody else was. He became famous doing it and now everyone else is. If you had rhymes like that in 1999, people would think you are gay or something.

And now, for the past few years, Eminem has been doing it too. Yes, he did this on occasion back before Lil Wayne got airplay, but now he's doing it a lot more. Half of the rhymes in Recovery, a lot in Hell The Sequel and his freestyles.

Not to say they are bad, but the Eminem fans are Lil Wayne haters, where do you think Eminem got his new style from? Or everyone else to be fair.

Maybe words offensive - free speech I don't fear it
Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric
Beyond our greatest imagination, illuminatin' experience
If we open our ears and close our inhibitions, it's clear"

Whoever says Lil Wayne is weak has never heard his amazing multi rhymes.

"No really, I'm on my "fuck that bitch" shit
You used to be the shit, but now you ain't shit, bitch"

See, no rapper can compete with that kind of lyrical talent.

As for Eminem, he found it easier to conform than innovate. Sad.

What are you talking about man, I agree Wayne was one of the guys that re popularized punchlines and wordplay in the mainstream lately; but it's as old as the hills. You say that if you had rhymes like that in 99 people would think you're gay? huh? rappers in the 90s used metaphors and punchlines a lot. Wayne did not invent punchlines, or wordplay, and rappers before him did it A LOT better.

I realize this guy is prolly trolling too, I just like arguing for the fuck of it. I'm Base

I think everyone knows/thinks C3 is bad bynow, but to be honest, it's still MILES better than what he's releasing right now.
