Lil Wayne back in the days ...

I'm not a fan of his recent work, I don't really enjoy what he has released since 2009/2010 but what about his old songs ? his old albums ?
The hate is real and it seems that some people don't talk about his old songs anymore...

Can you tell me what's wrong with The Carter 1/2 ? What's wrong with his old songs ?
I'll accept your opinions, but I really want honest opinions and no things such as "trash, he should die".

Some songs from his old albums/mixtapes:

Jay-Z wanted to sign him when he heard that freestyle:

A lot of his old stuff weren't bad, when I lived in Louisiana my friends would burn cd's of his mixtapes and give them to me.

This sounds nothing like Lil Wayne to me, the Wayne I know is garbage, this freestyle has hot and pretty raw.

he released better freestyles than that tbh but I agree with you.

Lil wayne has more than 20 (25 ?) official mixtapes, he released 10 solo albums and 7 collab albums.

A lot of people hate him but they only know the songs he has released since 2009.
I agree that Wayne changed a lot but the new wayne has nothing to do with the old Wayne Image

C2 is a conceptual album where he takes you through his house (where his gang is cooking drugs) and he shows you around each room. It's pretty dope actually

C1 is my favorite Wayne album though. Mannie's production is really on point.

Nah, we weren't joking when we said Pre C3 Wayne was good - maybe even great at his best.

This is legendary shit. Fact.
Last good Wayne album was Carter 2.
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

And he was never that good.

I think SliK is letting nostalgia get the best of him.

I remember bumping Cater 2 back at primary school though.

"I'm a fireman!!!!"

Robin Thicke is dope on Shooter as well.
