I know this is an Eminem forum, but you're going to have to learn that Eminem isn't perfect.
1998 - 2004 Eminem = Godly.
Perhaps even some of the Re-Up was that murderous Eminem.
Not Afraid, what do you call that? That hook, yo.
Recovery was good album but he swinging towards a softer vibe on that one, which isn't the Eminem that made me listen to Hip Hop.
So, before you tell me to get the fuck out, realize that I'm an Eminem fan - otherwise I wouldn't be on here - but I have the right to not like everything about a certain artists.

Get used to it, pal.

Recovery was on a softer vibe? How can you say that so confidently when every other song he was angrily screaming about how he hates women?

Compare "Kim" to any female related song on Recovery.
That's the Eminem I'm referring to, yes he's a grown man now fucking blah blah, he's matured, changed, had a lot of personal turmoil, but all of his really hardcore, offensive shit never got the radio play of say "Love The Way You Live", for example.
Recovery wasn't horrible, I like seeing his emotional side, obviously, but I'm a Slim Shady diehard and an EMinem fan, I wouldn't be disappointed if he considered with the Recovery vibe for the rest of his career, but I expect more, from the guy who made me listen to rap.

If we're gonna talk numbers and popularity, Em would take both of those easily over Jay-Z anyway. And the fact that he's simply better.

One of the magazines in my country had a big article about Jay Z and they said that he is the best rapper ever. And the reasons were his business abilities and the fact that he married Beyonce. No where in the whole article they spoke about the actual rap skills or anything like that. Same thing (business) was mentioned in this thread. Well fuck, then Puffy is the GOAT.

They got a very inspired email from me, but I never got an answer.

That's just like Birdman saying Lil Wayne is the best because "he got da most money."

I see some of your points, but if you think that Eminem constantly talking about smacking hoes is good for his career, you're ignorant.
"Throw It Up" and "Richard", more so recent verses from him, were very similar and didn't have the creative vibe like older Eminem records, shit give me another "Beautiful" like verse and I will be happy.
I'm not saying he sucks, but his material isn't on the standard it was anymore.
